Well it was a lifelong dream to see an NFC Championship game in my hometown. It was a chance that doesn't come along very often in a sports fan's life. The Falcons have only been to the big game one other time and that was in the 1998 season when they upset the Vikings in Minnesota. This was a huge game for the city of Atlanta, the fans showed up, the offense was on fire and the defense showed up at least for the first quarter and a half. Ahhh the disappointment, being up by 17 points and then losing is a horrible feeling. This was just about as bad as the come from behind loss the Falcons suffered at the hand of the Dallas Cowboys in 1980, we were the #1 seed in the playoffs that year as well. Here are some photos from the game, I experimented with a mirror less camera, it was a Nikon 1 V1 w/30-100mm zoom, the camera focuses really fast so I was able to capture some pretty decent shots. Really makes you excited to see where camera technology is going to be in about 5-10 years.
